A WARM WELCOME FROM SUNSHINE GOLF

The Miraflores/Sunshine Golf Academy officially opened its doors on the 30th January With a warm welcome to the press, suppliers and local golfers. The event was celebrated with demonstrations of teaching standards and custom fitting techniques. A target golf competition was held with winners receiving quality prizes from a range of sponsors including Wilson, Callaway, Ping and Sunshine Golf themselves.

Bunkers Bar served refreshments and the first official ´golden´ball was driven off by Don Bostell, a member of Sunshine Golf Club, declaring the facility open. The Miraflores Golf Academy has had a complete facelift, with new range mats, Wilson 2-piece range balls, Callaway distance markers and all new range hardware.

The pro-shop has been re-stocked with key golf brands and re-decorated to Sunshine Golf`s usual high standard. The cosy little terrace bar, re-named ´Bunkers Bar´ offers excellent refreshments throughout the day in a convivial pub-style atmosphere. The whole place is warm and welcoming encouraging golfers of all levels to enjoy this new facility.

The Sunshine Golf Club were the first to adopt Bunkers Bar as their special meeting place. The Club Captain, Chris Graham is based at the Academy and is available most days to discuss club matters with members. With its usual enthusiasm Sunshine Golf have many exciting plans for the Academy for the coming months. A superb teaching programme, has already Commenced with two resident PGA professionals taking single and group lessons. Specialised demo days and brand specific custom-fitting days are scheduled for the warmer Spring months. Target Golf evenings on Mondays, with many golfers competing now to get to the top of the leader board.

Sunshine Golf were also pleased to announce that Power Tee, the World´s leading practice system for driving ranges, already installed at St. Andrews, Wentworth and the Belfry , will be operational at the Miraflores Golf Academy in March. This is the first installation in the whole of Spain, once more Sunshine Golf leads the way.
