How to find:From Fuengirola take the Coin road into the hills – the golf resort is well signposted once you are on this road.
The beautiful golf resort of Alhaurin Golf overlooks the Sierra de Mijas Hills and is a 20 minute drive inland from the Mijas coast.
The resort offers an 18 hole golf course designed by Severiano Ballesteros which is hilly since it follows the natural contours of the landscape but certainly makes it a challenge with every hole being different and encouraging players to use all the clubs in their bags.
There have been some changes made to the course to make it more user friendly and it is well maintained. For visitors wishing to get away from the hustle and bustle of the coast the resort also offers the Alhaurin Golf & Country Club Hotel**** which is an excellent hotel at great value.
Also worth a visit is La Ventilla restaurant which adjoins the hotel.
